Total fire bans will be in place for the Greater Sydney and Illawarra/Shoalhaven regions in NSW tomorrow with warm, dry and windy conditions on the way.

The Rural Fire Service has declared total fire ban s for two districts in NSW on Thursday, with high temperatures and winds as strong as 40 km/h likely to hit parts of the state.

Temperatures in August and September this year have been unusually warm.
