Cummins chose to stay home for the birth, missing Australia's tour of Sri Lanka. This welcome break comes after Australia's victory in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and secures their place in the World Test Championship Final.
Pat Cummins and his wife Becky have welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Edi, into the world.
"She’s here. Our beautiful baby girl, Edi. Words can’t describe how overjoyed & full of love we feel right now," Becky posted on Instagram. Cummins, 31, did not join the Australian team for its tour in Sri Lanka as he opted to stay home for the birth of his daughter. The seamer has also been carrying an ankle injury, which has ultimately ruled him out of the ICC Champions Trophy - set to take place in Pakistan and the UAE from February 19 to March 9.
