Appearing on the ABC’s flagship current affairs program 7.30 on Monday night, Attorney-General Dreyfus appeared to read from a script when responding to a question about why the government hasn’t released more detail on the proposed Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

Offer ends 31 October, 2023 “Despite the fact that this is the biggest legal brain in the Australian Parliament, talking about a piece of legislation that he will write, for a brand-new system that he will construct, the briefing notes that he will use were from Twitter – from the Indigenous Affairs Minister Linda Burney.”
Highlighting the importance of Mr Dreyfus’s role as the nation’s chief law officer, Murray said it was inexplicable that he couldn’t answer basic questions about his own legislation.
