One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has broken down into tears during an interview after a judge ruled the Senator racially vilified Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi through a social media post two years ago.
The case centres on a social media statement made by Ms Hanson in September 2022 in which she told Ms Faruqi to"piss off back to Pakistan" after Senator Faruqi commented on the death of Queen Elizabeth.
Justice Angus Stewart on Friday found Ms Hanson's social media post was unlawful under Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act. The Senator claimed she found the ruling “unfair and unjust” and would be putting in a motion to appeal.
