It came after video emerged of Senator Hanson at a dinner in Queensland, speaking with her chief-of-staff, James Ashby, and journalist Rodger Muller, who was posing as a guns right advocate.

This afternoon, she said the comments were "heavily edited and do not reflect how I feel about those tragedies that occurred in 1996." Senator Hanson also furiously took aim at Mr Morrison after he announced the Liberal Party would preference Labor ahead of One Nation at the next election. "To hear they are doubting Port Arthur, the Port Arthur massacre? Do they want to go and say that to the families who lost members of their families? It's just wrong."
