Englewood investigators are looking into what happened
A pedestrian was killed in a vehicle collision that forced the closure of eastbound Hampden Avenue Wednesday morning, according to the Englewood Police Department.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m., police closed West Hampden Avenue’s eastbound lanes starting at the intersection with South Santa Fe Drive. This route will be closed for several hours as investigators look into what happened, Englewood police announced in a posting on Twitter, advising commuters to find an alternative route.
Update: 0721 a.m.: This is being investigated as a fatal auto-pedestrian accident involving one vehicle. The vehicle remained on scene. Eastbound W. Hampden Avenue will remain closed for several hours. Alternate route advised.
