A pensioner has died after a crash with an ambulance and taxi in Glasgow.

The emergency vehicle was travelling on London Road near Arcadia Street on Sunday afternoon when the collision took place.One of the paramedics who was in the ambulance, a 38-year-old man, was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for his injuries.Officers are now investigating the crash and they are urging any witnesses from the scene to get in touch.

Sergeant Andrew Coutts from Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit West Command said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the lady who died and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision. “The incident took place at a busy junction and I am appealing to anyone who was on London Road or Arcadia Street around 10.25am on Sunday morning, particularly those with dash-cam footage, to please come forward.
