People are boycotting Tom Ford over a fake quote in which he disses Melania Trump
According to Twitter, Tom Ford called Melania Trump a “glorified escort.” The only problem? He never said it.
The comment in question attributed to the designer is over his supposed refusal to dress the first lady. “I have no interest in dressing a glorified escort who steals speeches and has bad taste in men,” Ford is quoted as saying. However, there is no attribution to where the supposed remark came from and a quick search won’t pull up any interview where Ford said those words. I think Tom Ford forgets who buys his clothes. Bye. https://t.co/SUIKxoBZSl BEING MEAN SPIRITED IS NOT A GOOD LOOK.
Dudes you would have to sell your house & truck and then maybe, MAYBE you could afford a pair of socks , possibly a scarf. pic.twitter.com/MQfPCNYyqh seeing all these MAGAts saying they’re returning/destroying their Tom Ford stuff 😂 pic.twitter.com/LO3SHjvfIwFord’s non-quote went viral when someone on Twitter posted it in a since-deleted message.
