A powerful explosion has rocked a shopping centre and caused a fire in Armenia's capital Yerevan, killing one person and injuring 20 others.
Local media reported the explosion occurred at a fireworks warehouse and that an unknown number of people were trapped under rubble. Footage posted on social media showed thick grey smoke rising above a building, followed by an explosion that sent people running from the scene.Russian news agencies cited the Armenian emergencies ministry as confirming the incident.The Yeveran mayor's spokesperson, Levon Sardaryan, said rescuers were working hard to free those trapped.
