An urgent warning not to drink tap water has led to huge queues for bottled water in Wales. Letters were issued to homes in the village of St Athan yesterday
Residents of a Welsh village have been told not to brush their teeth using tap water after it is believed algae was detected in the system.
Derek Willmot told Metro.co.uk the water issue is believed to stem from rogue algae in the water supply.‘Large quantities of bottled water have been delivered today which is good, as last night it was as bit fraught. I don’t think the company had prepared for the enormity of the situation.’One resident, Holly Darch spoke of the confusion as people lined up in the streets to receive their water supplies.
