The money can help with everyday living costs
People suffering from a number of skin conditions could be missing out on hundreds of pounds every month. The Department for Work and Pensions offers up to £400 in support for people with a variety of ailments.
The support could help with day-to-day costs such as food and rent, The Mirror reports. You may be able to successfully file a claim if you have one of the following skin problems: Wales Online reported you may also be eligible if you fall into two other categories listed as 'Burns' and 'Skin disease known as other / type not known'. If specific conditions is not listed it may still be worth checking if you fall under the 'other' category.
Personal Independence Payment is available to people in Britain who suffer from long-term health conditions and is made up of two components - a daily living rate and a mobility rate - and people can be entitled to both or just one of these. These are then split again, into the standard rate and the enhanced rate.
