“Honestly, he’s the GOAT. He’s crazy. He’s got such a chill, calm persona around home, just hanging out. He plays golf, hangs out, just one of the chillest dudes you can ever meet,” Marschall said. “Do you know how easy this is for me?” he says. “Do you have any f---ing idea how easy this is? This is a f---ing joke! And I’m sorry you can’t do this, I really am because I wouldn’t have to f---ing sit here and watch you fumble around and f--- it up.”
So he had the gold medal and he put the bar to 6.10m to break the Olympic record. Which he did first try.“We all knew it was coming,” Marschall said. “I think he just teased us a little bit with those first two attempt misses. That was his plan all along, Olympic record first, just get that done because he didn’t clear it in Tokyo . He just went straight to the world record. So he just wanted to get that done at 6.10m.
