Keen skiers have flocked to Perisher, as the New South Wales ski resort begins spinning its lifts more than a week ahead of schedule.
“It feels amazing - just like that people are skiing. It always is a long gap between seasons, it’s great to start early,” she said from Perisher, which is owned by American ski conglomerate Vail Resorts.“We’re forecast for a metre of snow between now and the end of next week, we’ll continue to work on getting more lifts open and building out the terrain.
