New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced one year of free preschool for children in addition to the Liberal party’s current $5 billion childcare fund.

“We’re doing that because it helps mums and dads with the cost-of-living, saving well over $4,000 each year,” Mr Perrottet said.

“It also gives our kids the best education opportunities in life – I want every single parent to be able to access preschool for our child.” “As part of our plan, we’ll have over 50,000 kids, additional children who are four years old, who will be able to access five days a week of preschool by the end of the term.”
