He was one of two people aboard the small plane when it went down near the turnpike.
Lawrence Sager, 74, of Harrisburg, was pronounced dead at 4:52 p.m. Wednesday at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. An autopsy has not been completed as of Thursday.
The second person in the plane was seriously injured but survived, according to the FAA report. Their condition as of Thursday is unknown. The turnpike ramp is less than a mile from the Capital City Airport, although Czech said that responders could not yet confirm if the plane was trying to land, nor any other details as to what may have caused it to go down.
