ANALYSIS: Perth Festival proves the show must go on, despite the drama of Omicron and COVID restrictions

The rivalry between Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots was explored in a lavish and critically acclaimed production of Mary Stuart. at the WACA ground was put on ice and multiple artists had to cancel including Barkaa, Gina Williams and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizards, while authors who planned to speak in person at the Writer's Weekend ended up being beamed in on the big screen via Zoom.
