A neighbour said the woman was in her 70s and had previously lived at the home with her son but he had since moved out.
A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a woman, believed to be his mother, dead inside her Yangebup home on Monday.
Emergency Services were called to a property on Sandpiper Loop in Perth’s southern suburbs around 7.15am where they made the grim discovery.A 54-year-old man is accused of murdering the woman, aged 78, between Saturday and Monday. “The man and the woman are believed to be known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” a police spokesman said.there had been a disturbance at the house in recent weeks, the elderly lady calling them for assistance.
“It’s still sinking in, what has actually happened because we’ve known them for a long time,” they said.Police were still at the property on Monday evening looking for evidence while flowers and tributes were being laid outside the home.Police investigate the death of a woman in Yangebup.
