A Perth mother who killed her two young daughters will be detained indefinitely under Western Australia's "mentally impaired accused" laws after being found not guilty of murder due to "unsoundness of mind".Milka Djurasovic, 40, was suffering from a major depressive disorderShe will be detained in a hospital, a detention centre, prison or a "declared place"

She was also sleeping a lot, had withdrawn from her family and spoke to her husband about concerns she would end up in a "mental hospital", be drugged and raped, and that her children would be teased about it. In her severely depressed state, Ms Djurasovic decided to kill herself, but she had also started to worry about what would happen to her daughters if she was not there for them, and thought she could not leave them behind.

She was charged with two counts of murder and has been held in custody ever since awaiting trial, at either the secure psychiatric facility at Graylands hospital, or at Bandyup women's prison.During her trial, which took place last week, three forensic psychiatrists examined all the material in the case and interviewed Ms Djurasovic.
