John Pesutto and his leadership must be replaced now to avoid the Moira Deeming case handing Labor 'a free kick' in two years' time
Even with everything Opposition Leader John Pesutto is going through at the moment, being sued for defamation by Moira Deeming who he expelled from the Liberal Party, the Coalition has inched ahead, 51 to 49 on two party preferred basis. His style of politics was iron-fist rule but he knew exactly what he was doing and you can’t argue that it didn’t work for his government – even after he made Melbourne the most locked down city in the world during COVID, killed umpteen businesses and sent out the police to fire rubber bullets at people who protested against him, they were returned in 2022 with an extra seat.And now she’s starting to pay for everything that Andrews did.I’m not sure anyone would be up to the job.
Two years into their third term this government is cooked and in two years time they should be in the box seat to win government.The party needs to pull its finger out and replace him now so they have two clear years running up to the next election. “I’m very pleased this case is going ahead so the public and the party can identify who those people are; who have been disloyal, and perhaps even treacherous.”
