Pfizer has rubbished 'inaccurate' media reports by the ABC that suggested former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd had a role in bringing forward millions of their vaccine doses to Australia.
Pfizer labels the ABC's media reports suggesting Kevin Rudd was involved bringing vaccine to Australia as 'inaccurate'
"All agreements and supply arrangements, including dose planning are exclusively made with the Federal Government, and details of the agreement and discussions are confidential," they said in a statement. It comes after the ABC reported senior Australian business figures in the United States discussed contacting vaccine manufacturer Pfizer to see if it was possible for Australia to receive large supplies of the jab when the first Delta variant emerged in the country.
Due to Mr Morrison not making communications with the Pfizer boss, executives suggested bringing Mr Rudd to the table - who was known because of his work in the US as head of New York-based Asia Society - who could be a figure of influence.
