Grayson Murray withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge on Friday before he was found dead on Saturday.
Two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray has tragically passed away at the age of 30, following his withdrawal from the Charles Schwab Challenge on Friday. The golfing community is in mourning at the shock news.
CBS's Jim Nantz informed viewers that the tour had offered to cancel the tournament out of respect, but Murray's family wished for it to continue. Nantz's broadcast colleague Trevor Immelman was visibly moved as he commented on the sad news. "I reached out to Grayson's parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play. They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes."
