The Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service rescued 15 green tree frogs that were discovered by a member of the public trapped inside a handrail in Lennox Head in New South Wales.The frogs were brought to Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital in varying conditions and placed in reptile fluids to absorb some much-needed nutrients.The team then X-rayed, weighed, swabbed for chytrid , photographed for frog ID and placed the amphibians back into reptile fluids to rest.

"Honestly, we had to read the details on our mobile data terminal three or four times, though our crew responded to the call with no bird-en," fireys joked on Facebook. The large birds can fly short distances, so it's not known if it was actually stuck or just having a rest.A vet in Sydney's west found themselves treating a very delicate and dangerous patient on Tuesday, May 24.

Albion Park Vet Dr Cindy Jarrett named the special white guy Mr Spike and gave him the all clear to be placed back into bushland after several days of rehabilitation.
