Police are investigating multiple deadly incidents involving pedestrians, including an accident Thursday night that left a 13-year-old boy dead after he was struck by a SEPTA bus while sitting on his bicycle.

Authorities in Delaware County say they are also investigating a deadly pedestrian incident involving a SEPTA trolley. Police say a SEPTA bus was traveling in the right lane, eastbound on Penrose.
13-year-old Nicolas Ritter was not able to move out of the way, and authoritieis say the bus driver’s attempts to break and swerve out of the way were unsuccessful."SEPTA's thoughts tonight are with the family, friends and other loved ones who are dealing with an unimaginable loss. SEPTA is committed to fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation into this incident," read a statement released by SEPTA late Thursday night.
Police say a off-duty officer was driving on the block when he saw two pedestrians laying on the highway. A 32-year-old woman was alert and crying in pain, and a 36-year-old man was unresponsive after police say they were struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Police later stopped the driver of the Chevrolet at 18th and Pike Streets and investigated the female driver.
