Gary McAllister reckons Rangers boss Philippe Clement IS handling the pressure of the title race as he praised the "very steady man" before the clash with Celtic.
Temperatures are reaching boiling point in Glasgow with the top of the table clash just days away - and things only ramped up after Clement took a swipe at Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers for claiming that the Scottish Premiership leaders would "have fun" on derby day. After the Light Blues' boss branded the Irishman disrespectful, pundits Chris Sutton and Kris Boyd flagged that the Belgian could be feeling the pressure of the run-in.
However, McAllister - who was part of Steven Gerrard's backroom team that brought the Scottish title to Ibrox in 2021 - reckons that Clement has been consistent in his message and his attempts to push Rangers on. He told Sky Sports: "It's nice to be under pressure, but if it's pressure that you can't cope with you need to step aside.
"But it looks as if he has now witnessed the highs and the lows, and the way the fans can get disappointed that they can't keep winning. It's nearly impossible to win every game and he looks a very steady man as well. "That is something you can see. When it is going well he is at a level and in recent weeks when there have been a few disappointments he has still come out after the game and tried to push the team forward."
