Clement has done his reading and insists he knows what Rangers fans have been through over the last decade.
Philippe Clement knows Rangers were rock bottom losing a Ramsdens Cup Final to Raith Rovers only 10 years ago.
And Clement knows he can’t contemplate failure a decade on from when Gers couldn’t even land the lower league silverware spoils. He said: “Of course, I knew of some things that happened to Rangers at the time but I didn’t know it in detail. “I guarantee them one thing – there is not one supporter who has more desire than I have to be successful with this club. We want to win everything. It’s simple. That has been the story from the first moment I stepped in.
“I went there, in the Second Division, to combine it with my university work. They trained in the evenings so I could go to school during the day. We went from the Second Division to finishing eighth in our first season and into the Intertoto Cup in Europe. It was like a different world. “Luckily, I was back there a lot with the national team but you never forget these moments. With every trophy that you win, those moments stay with you.
