After two second place finishes in the first week, Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) showed his sprinting prowess to win Stage 10 of the Tour de France after a sleepy day for the peloton.
SBS On Demand Tour de France Hub iOS Android The Belgian launched off the wheel of teammate and world champion Mathieu van der Poel with clean air and only a few hundred metres to the line to power home for his first stage win at the race, after two second place finishes in Stage 5 and Stage 8.
"Today we knew that the last corner could be tricky and we took it well. I was launched perfectly. I'm happy with the way we're starting this second week. We are already on the tenth stage and we had done five sprints without winning, it was too many." On what was a very relaxed day for the peloton, Tadej Pogacar remained in the yellow jersey for the eighth day so far at the Tour de France, Remco Evenepoel remaining in second and Jonas Vingegaard in third.
