This year has been a whirlwind one for Phillip Schofield, at the start of the year both Phillip and Holly Willoughby were caught up in the 'Queengate' scandal.
Phillip Schofield could soon make a return to our TVs months after his exit from This Morning. Rumours are rife that the star could make a comeback after he previously turned down I'm A Celebrity.But months later, rumours started to circulate that the ITV duo had fallen out and then Phillip announced he had quit This Morning. Things became more serious when he released a statement owning up to an affair with a much younger staff member on the award-winning show.
His link to the new series comes a year on from admitting I'm A Celeb would be the 'only' show he'd consider being a contestant on. Speaking on This Morning in November 2002, Phillip said he'd be up for doing the Ant and Dec hosted show, but added: "But the answer is currently no. I was asked. I’m asked all the time. No, not yet. Never say never to anything"
An insider told Mail Online: "Celebrity Big Brother is coming back and ITV want massive names to kick it off. CBB is the perfect place for stars who are riding off the wave of a scandal, or something big happening in their lives." They added: "Phillip Schofield is someone they're going to approach, as well as people like Jennifer Arcuri, who had an alleged fling with Boris."
