The former ITV presenter is said to have spoken to a senior boss from Talk TV this month about a potential role on the channel, after mate Vanessa Feltz contacted him to 'test the waters'.
Former ITV host Phillip Schofield is said to be planning his television comeback, as it is reported he is in ongoing talks about a new presenter gig and potential book deal. The Mirror reports that the former This Morning presenter is said to have spoken to a senior boss from Talk TV about a possible job on the channel.
This scandal opened up the floodgates of accusations that the ITV show had become "toxic" behind the scenes, as multiple complaints came in of bullying that were originally ignored by senior executives. The news of Phillip's comeback plans will frustrate ITV bosses, as they prepare to receive the findings of an external enquiry sparked in the aftermath of his exit, due to conclude next month.
This outing was the first time Phil was spotted in public since June, when a member of the public spotted him "looking tired" while walking through a car park in Cornwall, Morning. One source said: "Phil has really kept his head down since he left This Morning. Losing his entire career in a matter of weeks hit him hard, and he needed time to recover. Even now, everything is still very raw for him.
Top showbiz news A second source has told how the presenter has been approached by a number of publishing houses with offers since leaving This Morning. It has been said that Phil has had "off the record" conversations on potential book deals. "Stephanie and the girls have been his lifeline all this time, while he’s been going through hell in private. So any further discussions are on hold until he has spoken to them, and they are happy with him going ahead."
Since this scandal, Phillip has since vanished from the public eye, and has remained largely away from the screen. However, it is now understood that, while still knocked down, he is now feeling more optimistic about the future.
