Phillip Schofield hits back at Dr Ranj over 'toxic' claim: 'I don't know why he said it'
Former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield has spoken out about claims made by his ex-colleague Dr Ranj, who argued the atmosphere backstage on the daytime show was "toxic".
Taking to social media earlier this week, Dr Ranj said that he “loved” and “valued” working on This Morning, but over time he grew “increasingly worried about how things were behind-the-scenes” and how people were being treated. Phillip said: “There is categorically no toxicity [at This Morning] and the only people who create that are the people who have their own toxicity.He revealed that the pair had seen each other “a few months ago” and that Dr Ranj was “really lovely” before saying: "I don't know what is the reason to stab something that's been really good to you.”Phillip resigned from ITV last week and was dropped by his talent agency YMU after admitting to the “unwise but not illegal” relationship.
