11th annual Utah Firefighter Chili Cook Off hosted on Saturday, Oct. 21 at America First Field House in Sandy. The 11th annual Utah Firefighter Chili Cook Off featured nearly 30 local agencies battling for the title of best chili.
The event, which took place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the America First Field House in Sandy raised over $45,000 for Burn Camp - a University of Utah Health program supporting burn victims whose physical trauma has caused them personal challenges. A panel of judges handed out trophies for the best chili, best booth and largest sum of donations. The public voted on a "People's Choice Award" granted based on their opinion of the best chili dish.
At the end of the day, Unified Fire Authority took home three of the four awards: the People's Choice, best booth and most money raised, while Lehi Fire took home best chili per the judge panel.
