New Zealanders have stood in driveways at dawn to pay their respects to the Anzacs - in isolation. It's the first time since Anzac Day services started in New Zealand that no public gatherings have taken place.

As dawn broke in Wellington, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern walked to the end of her driveway carrying flowers picked from her garden and stood in remembrance. "Today we commemorate ANZAC Day in a way that hasn't been done before," she said.
