A 27-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday night on Interstate 78 in Somerset County, authorities said. Sebastian Hofmann, of Hillsborough, was driving east near milepost 34.8 in Warren when his pickup struck another vehicle from behind,The pickup veered off the road to the left, struck several trees and overturned, Sgt. Philip Curry said. Hoffmann was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
The other vehicle being driven by a 33-year-old Warren Township man slammed into a metal guard rail. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
