The youngsters from Leeds City College and Leeds Sixth Form College have shared what their results will mean for them

Alex Gordon, 20, from Normanton, returned to education after leaving schooling after completing his GCSEs. He had gone on to find employment in a number of jobs, but decided to go back into education. Now, he is Picking up his AS Level results, Alex received three As, in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Alex said: "If you want something that badly, there are opportunities. With everything in life you get out of it what you put in. If you put in nothing then you will get nothing back. You don't get given anything on a plate. You've got to be dedicated."
Madison said: "I'm really happy with the results. I was really scared about getting either a fail or even just a pass because of how hard the course was, especially in the first year. I'm really happy." many had gotten into top universities with their grades. He also pointed out there were support systems in place for those who had failed to get the results they were hoping for.
