Qantas has praised the quick-thinking actions of its pilots and cabin crew after a flight from Sydney to Perth was forced to turn back after less than an hour in the air.
Passengers were evacuated using slides after issues with hydraulics and a build up of mist in the cabin.
Engineers have since inspected the aircraft and both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau are investigating.
