Every morning at 6am the pilots and support crew attend the daily briefing. Les Springett is the pilot at the bash who has been flying the longest and will be competing in the World Championships later this year in Hungary.In the pre-dawn light, Sarah Ellis and Andreas Henschke fire up the burner as they prepare Sarah’s balloon, Gecko, for their morning flight. Pure propane is the best gas to use as it’s the cleanest, hottest and most efficient. The balloons burn a litre of gas a minute.
