‘Turning Red’ is now the third straight Pixar release to skip theaters and go straight to Disney+:
Previously, the film had been expected to premiere in theaters on that same date. There has been a recent rise in Covid-19 cases thanks to the Omicron variant of late, and that has prompted some movies to shift release dates.
But Here’s the film’s most recent trailer:Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee , a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming , is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.
