Steve Smith had cricket fans raving about his masterful batting — but a strange act in the field saw everybody quickly change their tune.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan tweeted: “This is very very poor from Steve Smith!!”

Fellow sports journalist Paul Hayward chimed in, writing: “It’s the cheapness of it that’s so hard to grasp. People have compared you to Bradman, you’ve been banned in a massive sandpapering scandal, but you see a batting mark and think … I’m going to scrub that out. So odd.”“What even makes him consider doing that? I’m not sure you’d find the most junior cricketer with that idea going through their heads,” he tweeted.

Former professional cricketer Fabian Cowdrey wrote: “Steve Smith was just in his own world, much like the way he goes about his own batting. I don’t believe he has attempted to cheat in any way here.” British cricket journalist Elizabeth Ammon said: “Not a massive issue but a bit odd no? Just a bit weird and for no apparent benefit.”

'Banishing to the bush' idea is just 'plain madness' | Sky News Australia'Banishing to the bush' idea is just 'plain madness' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Smith says the idea of “banishing” COVID-19 infected people to the Queensland bush is “just plain madness”. \n\n“It was conceived by the Queensland premier when they hit the panic button over that 1 infection in Brisbane, with the new UK strain,” Mr Smith said. \n\nThe regional Queensland cities of Gladstone and Toowoomba are set to be included in a proposed scheme to quarantine international arrivals away from urban areas.\n\n'It would be the greatest logistical operation since the Second World War… 3,000 staff, the setting up of a mobile hospital in woop woop somewhere, a lengthy transportation process that you'd hope would be failsafe. Good luck with that,' Mr Smith said. \n\n'It's a stupid idea. Our health-based hotels are ready to go. First class. \n\n'The whole test-before-you-fly rule in now place, we will see a reduction in quarantine infections and therefore a reduction in the chance of leaks from these hotels.\n\n'If the Queensland premier had faith in her health system, her contact tracing officials (and) her hotel quarantine protocols, she wouldn't be giving this a second thought, and she wouldn't have her border closed to Greater Sydney either. \n \n'COVID camps in the bush is a hillbilly, knee jerk idea, from a risk averse government who can't handle a crisis without closing a border.\n\n'With hardly a case of COVID anywhere, we are the envy of the world. But this idea harks back to the primitive days of leper colonies, and makes a laughing stock,' he said. \n

The Great Reset is a ‘hiding in plain sight’ agenda: Bernardi | Sky News AustraliaThe Great Reset is a ‘hiding in plain sight’ agenda: Bernardi | Sky News AustraliaThe ‘Great Reset’ is the hiding in plain sight agenda of the World Economic Forum, a globalist institution staffed by “leftist elites” who want to dictate how you live your life, says Sky News host Cory Bernardi.\n\n“It (World Economic Forum) was started by a chap named Klaus Schwab and has run what is the equivalent of the Woodstock event for the super-rich and super powerful – Davos – for many years,” Mr Bernardi said.\n\n“Davos is on now, although there are fewer private planes parked this year than normal.\n\n“It’s not because they’re practicing what they preach and they’ve all gone green and ditched the gas guzzlers but it’s because of coronavirus.”\n\nMr Bernardi pointed out the “hypocrisy” of those so-called leaders who are “jetting in” to lecture about the need to take urgent action on climate change by reducing emissions.\n\n“The Great Reset is only a new term to mask their previous failures to control economic and social foundations,” he said.\n\n“The World Economic Forum is just a cabal of climate crusaders and social engineers who think they know what is best for the rest us.”\n
