Plans that would have turned a big area of a Glasgow green space into a car park were withdrawn.
As the Glasgow Times reported last month, Swinton locals gathered at a special community council meeting to object to a planning application submitted to theThe bid, handed in by Springhill MOT Station, would have sliced off over 2000 sq m of Swinton Recreational Park.Their main concerns are the loss of what they say is the only green space in the area and the noise and air pollution.
Local politicians, including John Mason MSP, David Linden MP, and councillors Alex Kerr, Kevin Lalley also submitted their comments.
