Nature research paper: Plant phytochrome B is an asymmetric dimer with unique signalling potential
. The PAS domain cores are circled by the dashed grey line, which is followed by an α/β roll, Superposition of 3D models of the nPAS and PAS2 domains determined by cryo-EM with those predicted by TrRosetta. The cartoons on the left are the cryo-EM models and those on the right are superpositions of the models with those calculated ., Predicted models of the PAS1 region by TrRosetta.
Purified full-length PhyB was incubated for 15 min with increasing amounts of each protease and then subjected to complete digestion with trypsin followed by tandem MS identification of peptides generated by each protease. Peptides that ended in chymotrypsin or GluC cut sites were quantified from the MS1 scans. Each row represents a potential cleavage site; white bars indicate no cleavage whereas green boxes represent regions without detectable peptides.
