Shadow Minister for Women Tanya Plibersek says Scott Morrison’s appeals to ATAGI to change their advice regarding the AstraZeneca vaccine is the Prime Minister’s way of “trying to cover up” the fact he “stuffed up” on the vaccine rollout.
“I think it’s completely wrong for politicians to get involved in trying to lobby our scientific and medical experts to change the advice that they have come to after a lot of consideration and a lot of research,” she told Sky News host Alan Jones. “It’s only the Prime Minister really trying to cover up the fact he stuffed up the vaccine rollout and that he hasn’t got enough of the Pfizer vaccine which is the one that people are more keen to get at this stage.”
