Anthony Albanese has accused the Greens of wanting to abolish the states and the private housing market in a blistering attack in which he also claimed the party was in a 'no-alition' with One Nation.
Mr Albanese made the remarks on Friday as he revealed Labor will next week reintroduce its bill to establish a $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund.
Anthony Albanese on Friday said the government will next week reintroduce its bill to establish a Housing Australia Future Fund. Picture: NCA NewsWire / John Gass Mr Albanese lumped the Greens in with One Nation, the Liberals and the Nationals as part of a"no-alition" against the HAFF, as he also took a swipe at Pauline Hanson.
"You need to actually be held to account. And this no-alition of the Greens, Liberal Party, National Party and One Nation is a coalition coming together, playing politics from different perspectives but with one outcome, which is less housing." What would it say about a Government that would rather force the country back to another election rather than invest $2.5bn a year in public housing and coordinate national caps on rents, while we have a $20bn budget surplus and historic housing crisis?"Well, they won't be going to the polls this year. But we're determined to get this legislation passed. We want it to be passed," he said.
