Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will challenge Australians to 'do one better' in a speech tonight aimed at boosting support for the Voice to Parliament. 9News

Albanese is set to invoke the 1967 referendum when he speaks in Adelaide this evening, urging Australians to take another step towards reconciliation.

It is one of eight successful referendums - out of 44 that have passed Parliament - since Federation. The Voice was a first-term commitment Albanese took to the 2022 federal election as opposition leader, and it's expected to take another big step forward this week.Sporting greats read out a unified pledge from over 20 sports bodies to support the Voice to Parliament last week.
