The Albanese government has agreed to mail a pamphlet to voters seeking to explain the Voice to Parliament.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has asked Special Minister of State Don Farrell to begin the process the government deemed unnecessary in December and prepare an education pamphlet to be mailed out in the lead-up to the vote. The education pamphlet and the public funding are non-negotiable demands the Coalition issued on Tuesday in return for it supporting legislation that would enable the referendum to be held in spring.

However, the Coalition would continue to insist on its second demand that there be equal public funding for the Yes and No camps. He said the Yes campaign would have significantly more funding, and was benefiting from the government’s advocacy for the Voice.
