Prime Minister Scott Morrison will today announce his commitment to a hydro-electricity project in Tasmania.
The ACCC recommended the government underwrite reliable supply projects in a bid to boost competition in the generation market, they received 66 expressions of interest.
A feasibility study will now look into three shortlisted sites with the aim of taking the first phase to the investment level by 2021. The move comes after the Prime Minister gave the green light to Snowy Hyrdo 2.0, saying work will begin within days. Image: News Corp Australia
