We flip back to cooler than normal for a while. A storm system passing the area Saturday gets it started.
We closed the workweek in the same way we’d spent much of it, amid delightful weather. Highs in the low 70s are a touch above average. It’s the last we’ll see of warmer than typical during the day until at least later next week. The same dip in the jet stream delivering cooler air to the area also sends some stormy conditions. Around here, the worst of that should be tomorrow.
Skies are mainly clear into the evening before clouds increase late. Temperatures in the mid-60s or so near sunset fall to lows in a 50 to 55 zone. Winds are light from the northeast. A slight chance of a shower may develop near sunrise.Raindrops are a good bet. How many and how long are still a little uncertain. Showers are increasingly likely during the morning and probable in the afternoon to evening. If rain develops late, we could see about a quarter of an inch or so.
