The extended lockdown for Greater Melbourne is slated to end on Thursday at 11.59pm, with the State Government saying it is being reviewed on a "day-by-day" basis.
Mr Morrison pointed to the way the NSW Government handled the COVID outbreak on the Northern Beaches at the end of last year. "No one has handled similar outbreaks. Outbreaks previously across the country have often been single cases who have had some community exposures," Professor Sutton said.
