It has been revealed Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in July personally wrote to Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews several times in the space of a week to offer the services of ADF personnel in Melbourne’s hotel quarantine program.
The Australian has reported a submission into the Melbourne hotel quarantine inquiry from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Defence Department revealed the Prime Minister reached out to Mr Andrews repeatedly in regards to the offer. Sky News host Peter Gleeson said this revelation is “game, set and match for Daniel Andrews.

ADF officer fined for hotel quarantine breach | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales Police have issued fines to two people breaching hotel quarantine restrictions in Sydney’s Pier One hotel.\n\nA returned RAAF officer in hotel quarantine reportedly became acquainted with a 53-year-old woman through the hotel windows before security discovered her leaving the 26-year-old’s room at 12:45am on Wednesday morning. \n\nBoth parties were issued with a $1000 fine, while the woman was told to check out of the hotel and present herself for testing before going to self-isolate in her Hornsby home.\n\nNSW recorded seven new cases overnight including three returned travellers in hotel quarantine, one returned traveller from Melbourne in quarantine, one linked to the Concord Hospital and another to a health worker at Liverpool Hospital. \n\nOnly one mystery case was reported. \n\nHealth authorities pleaded with state residents to continue getting tested, particularly in Western and south-Western Sydney, following a concerning drop in testing numbers. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia
