"We’ve had a couple of instances where players have been injured on this play. If the number continues to go up, then I think the league has to look at this. Because, to me, it’s not a hard fix. So good that prior to last weekend’s defeat of Washington they’d converted 41 of 44 “Brotherly Shoves,” including all four attempts the week before. Then they tried it in the waning minutes of their defeat of the Commanders, only with a new wrinkle: They ran a handoff to D’Andre Swifft off of it.Others have tried it but aren’t as successful. Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped critics from calling for its ouster, saying it’s more rugby than American football.
