Mr Floyd, aged 46, died after a police officer was filmed kneeling on his neck for almost nine minutes during his arrest for allegedly using a fake $20 note in a shop, despite him warning that he could not breathe. Peaceful protests against police brutality rapidly erupted into violent riots which spread rapidly across the United states and are believed to have been spurred on by Left-wing extremist groups such as Antifa.
