The victim was left with significant injuries after the alleged assault in the Havelock Inn

Police have issued an appeal after a man was left with significant injuries following an alleged serious assault at a Blackburn pub.

The victim was reportedly assaulted in the Havelock Inn, Havelock Street, on September 18. He sustained significant injuries. Lancashire Constabulary have now released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. Anyone who recognises the man is asked to come forward.Detective Constable Amelia Nethell, of Blackburn CID, said: “This was a serious assault whereby the victim has sustained significant injuries. I would ask if anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

“Did you witness an assault on the 18th September? Do you know the male in the picture? If so, please get in touch.” Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting log 1436 of the 18th September 2022. Anonymous information can be provided through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
